Mid-Century Modern Chairs - A Pair

The style of this pair of mid-century chairs is most often referred to simply as ‘Danish’. Despite this, the chairs very much reflect the style of the 1631-C chair as designed by the American architect and furniture designer Adrian Pearsall. Acquired from Northampton, one chair had already been stripped ready for refurbishment.

As much as possible of the original springs and foam stuffing will be retained in refurbishing these chairs. I have selected a fire-resistant fabric called Solar as the top fabric. Developed by the British Furniture makers White Meadow, the fabric features a retro style pattern in colours highly reminiscent of the 1960’s.
